Greenwaste

Tumut Shire Council does not currently offer a kerbside green waste collection service. This waste can go in your household compost or worm farm to make a rich natural resource for your garden. Tumut Shire Council encourages residents to compost their green waste and fruit and vegetable scraps.

Residents who are unable to compost their green waste on site have the following options.

Off site collection Adelong, Batlow or Talbingo waste depots accept green waste. Cost - grass clippings at no cost; other green waste incurs a cubic metre rate Waste Depot opening timesvary and are signposted at the gate and also available on this website.
