Heritage Walking Tours

Council, in conjunction with the National Trust of Australia and Tumut Historical Society has also created a Heritage Walking Tour, which is designed to take in some of Tumut’s most significant historic buildings, parks and natural beauty.
This tour can be taken on foot, cycling or driving, with the walking tour taking about 60 minutes. A full colour photo Heritage Trail Brochure can be obtained by contacting Council’s customer service officer on (02) 6941 2516 or by email.
Additionally, The Heritage Trail brochure has been prepared, clearly indicating points of interest in the surrounding environs, including highlights such as the River Walk in Tumut and Adelong Falls Gold Workings in Adelong. This brochure also locates and connects all shire museums, in Adelong, Batlow and Tumut, telling of the agricultural and cultural heritage of the region.
