Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan
One strategy to address pedestrian issues within Tumut has been the development of the “Tumut Pedestrian Access and Mobility Plan”. This plan is a long term plan to provide safe, convenient and connected pedestrian routes which will encourage people to walk rather than use their cars.
Each year children are run over and killed or injured in driveways. One strategy to address this issue in Tumut is to increase awareness that children are at risk of motor vehicle injury in low speed off road environments including driveways and yards.
