Sustainable Action Plan 2014 - 2018
Climate change is of global concern. In response to this, Tumut Shire Council has adopted a Sustainable Action Plan (SAP).
The SAP is a dynamic document that utilises expertise from various sources, to enable Council to be more sustainable.
SAP actions provide a direction for Council to follow, with reportable indicators. It identifies areas that Council needs to address, assigns task to responsible individuals and reports to the community outcomes of the objectives.
Whilst Council is implementing the SAP in a local setting, it is contributing in a small way to reducing climate change. Council is a small fish in a big pond, but every action taken will have a positive effect!
