“Wood heaters, they’re warm and cosy.
Just watching the flames can make a dull winter’s day brighter.
Wood heating is great way to heat your home. However you probably never thought about it, but smoke from wood heaters can also be a major source of pollution at this time of the year.
If your heater is producing too much smoke then that’s costing you money. Excessive smoke means that your heater is not burning as efficiently as it should and that means heat that should be warming your home is heading up the chimney as smoke. It’s not good for you and it’s not good for the environment.
To help residents get more from their wood heaters, we have ten chimney and wood heater checks to give away in Tumut council area this month. If your home uses a wood heater we would like to offer you the chance to receive a free wood heater check.
